Hyundai snapped a five-month losing streak while U.S. sales dropped for the sixth straight month at Toyota Motor and Kia as the microchip shortage and other disruptions continue to upend stockpiles. Ford Motor volume was flat, and the company said industrywide volume slid 9 percent. Honda and Subaru also posted lower sales.
